Personality|
Charming: Though Vor was raised with rather excessively generous parents, his later experiences with those were were “less giving” made him learn the best methods of flattery and coaxing to achieve his desired ends. This skill, in turn, has helped to serve those desires natural to any mature stallion; his magnetism helped lead to more than a few one-night stands in the past, though he holds no desire for a more significant relationship.
Bold: Confidence is something like a second skin for Vorinclex. Every pore oozes with an almost smug sense of self-security, an envelope of convincing bluster that is as inescapable as the stallion’s hawklike gaze.
Ruthless: Once he knows what he wants, this stallion will stop at practically nothing to reach that goal. Manipulating a young mare to satisfy his wants? No problem. Playing two rivals against each other to eliminate competition? Please. A brute-force battle to the death? If the situation calls for it, sure.
Commitment Issues: Heartbreak is the thing lowest on Vorinclex’s list of priorities, along with raising a child or being struck by lightning. Losing his mother, with whom he was extremely close, left him with a fear of being abandoned or hurt through the loss of a loved one. Don’t misunderstand; Clex loves casual flirtation and the odd fling once in a while. This is one area where he has zero courage. To risk his heart again would be to risk the whole of his very being.
Loyal: Though he isn’t very likely to be chummy with ladyfolk, the stallions that Vorinclex befriends become like brothers to him. Since he lacked siblings in his youth, Vor seeks out such companionship as a high priority. These “brothers-in-arms,” as he considers them, are the ones that he would do anything for, up to and even beyond the point of death.

History| Born the only surviving foal of parents who struggled to produce a viable child, Vorinclex was celebrated. Coddled. Spoiled. Protected. The black pelt that marked him as a survivor - unlike the two lifeless white souls who preceded him - was kept sleek and perfect under the watchful gaze of a proud mother and father. As if to challenge their ability to keep him safe, Clex dove into everything headfirst; fearless as a stallion several times his age.
Cared for as closely as he was, the colt thrived. Height and bulk came with age, along with an accompanying mentality of preening superiority. As colts are wont, Clex play-fought with his peers, galloped tirelessly from dawn until dusk, and seemed destined to grow into a powerful addition to the Colony. But stories always seem to have a plot twist, and happy-ever-afters are few and far between.
When he was a handful of days from turning three - poised on the cusp of adulthood - his mother died of a respiratory infection. Much as the young stallion hid his “weaker” emotions, Vor still held his mother in extremely close proximity to his heart. Throughout his youth, she had been his utmost support, a gentle presence to contrast the rough-and-tumble liveliness of his friends. Now that solace was gone, and his father was a shadow of his former self out of grief.
Pleading a need for time alone, Vorinclex departed his family’s original home on what he’d said would be only a temporary holiday, a brief respite. Deep down, though, he knew that returning would likely be too painful for him. Losing his mother so traumatically has left him with problems in the female sphere; Clex is unwilling to attach to a particular mare for fear of losing her as he did his mother.
